I’m really lazy about preparing food and whatever gives me the most bang for my time, nutrition and money, I’ll go for it. This one is a winner, though I must advice it is green in every sense of the word. This smoothie is also a nutritious arsenal in a glass.

Hi Marga, Very nice recipes. I am trying to eat healthier alkalanizing foods as I tend to have inflammation in my CRP numbers. Is the blender a good way to make the Green Smoothie or do I need a juicer? If I do need one, can you recommend one that’s not too pricy? Thank you and hope you are having fun with this. How’s Lou? My love and regards. Jackie
Yes, the blender is a good option for mixing the juice (once the juice is made or purchased). For juicers, there are many good options–I haven’t tried them all. The Norwalk is the top of the line and the following are very good options:
The Omega 4000 Juicer — I own this one and the Norwalk. I travel with the Omega.
Champion Juicer 2000 is a good price — I had this juicer for over a decade.
Green Power Gold Juice Extractor (Model E-1503) — seems very versatile.
There are many other options to choose from.
I’m new to this world and here by necessity and ALL FOR easy recipes. This sounds yummy but using a juicer and the blender all for the same end result…..? I guess I’m lazier than you! :)
It’s my birthday tomorrow and I’m starting the day with a green smoothie! Salud! Cheers!
